The depth of the other 48 named lakes has not been surveyed; where an older state estimate exists, the register gives it as an estimate.

Clarity is the depth at which a black-and-white Secchi disk disappears from view. Across 40 lakes with satellite readings, the middle value in Muskegon County is 9 ft. The clearest is Baxter Lake at about 16 ft, then West Lake (15 ft), Wolf Lake (15 ft) and Twin Lake (west) (14 ft). The least clear is Olson Lake at about 1 ft. Michigan DNR has stocked 7 lakes in Muskegon County 331 times since 1979. Walleye went into 5 lakes: Big Blue Lake, Mona Lake, Muskegon Lake, White Lake and Wolf Lake. The most recent stocking was 35,520 walleye in Mona Lake on 9 June 2026. Muskegon Lake, White Lake, Mona Lake and Duck Lake are designated trout lakes (Type F), with their own seasons and limits.
